NEOFOR MENDE (Ex : ENGELVIN BOIS) was established in 1936. The family-run business purchased the Mende site in 1942. Today, it is all under the NEOFOR Group umbrella.
NEOFOR MENDE, located in Mende in Lozère, is one of the most important sawmills in the Occitania region, with production capacities on two sites: Le Bleymard and Mende.
The company processes around 50,000 m3 of round logs for an estimated production of 24,000 m3 of sawnwood and 20,000 tons of related (sawdust, chips, etc.) in 2021.
Its core activity is the first processing of sawn softwood from local forests. The main resulting products are:
- Structural-quality sawnwood for the construction industry.
- Sawnwood for indoor and outdoor fittings such as cladding, weatherboarding, terrace decking, panelling and parquets.
- Sawnwood for the industrial packaging, formwork, packaging and specific products markets.
- Related products such as chips, barks and sawdust are also available.
The Mende site proposes a supply service.
